Anti Gas Migration Cement Fluid Loss Additive

Our anti gas migration cement fluid loss additive FC-660S is an AMPS-tannin polymer powder specially developed for oil well cementing. It delivers reliable fluid loss and free water control while forming an effective barrier to stop gas migration, greatly improving annular sealing integrity. This product has two molecular weight grades, widely deployed across North America, Nigeria and Middle East oilfield projects.

Gas channeling remains one of the most frequent hidden hazards during oil well cementing. After cement slurry is pumped into the annular space, formation gas may penetrate unset cement, create flow channels, and damage wellbore sealing. Conventional fluid loss additives can only control water loss but fail to block gas movement effectively. Our anti gas migration cement fluid loss additive FC-660S is engineered to fix this construction pain point by combining fluid loss control and gas migration inhibition in one single product.

FC-660S is synthesized from AMPS and tannin raw materials. When blended into cement slurry, it locks free water inside the cement system to limit API fluid loss, and builds a viscous, flexible polymer network to block gas flow paths. This effectively stops gas from migrating through fresh cement slurry and eliminates gas channeling risks, helping contractors achieve stable, long-term well zonal isolation.

Field feedback from global oilfield sites shows cement slurry prepared with FC-660S features high shear strength and low viscosity. The slurry stays stable during long-distance pipeline transportation and can be pumped smoothly without blockage. Its short transition time further strengthens gas shutoff performance, minimizing the vulnerable window where gas intrusion commonly happens.

We supply two molecular weight grades to match different regional working conditions: high-molecular FC-660S is widely used in North America and Nigeria oilfields, while the low-molecular variant equivalent to Shell FL-63 is well accepted for Middle East cementing projects.

Core On-Site Application Benefits

01/

Dual-function design: accurately controls cement slurry fluid loss and free water separation, meanwhile forms a protective barrier to restrain gas migration.

02/

Optimized slurry rheology: delivers high shear force and low viscosity for stable transportation and smooth pumping on construction sites.

03/

Short transition time significantly narrows the risk period of gas invasion, effectively preventing gas channeling and boosting cementing sealing quality.

04/

Two molecular weight options are available to fit the working requirements of North American, Nigerian and Middle East oilfield standards.
