When drilling through shale, mudstone and other clay-rich formations, wellbore collapse, clay hydration swelling and reservoir permeability damage are very common headaches for field teams. This liquid additive works reliably under a maximum bottom-hole circulating temperature of 150℃. Most field operators follow the recommended dosage range of 1% to 2% based on the weight of crude oil when adding it into drilling fluid or completion fluid systems. Different from many conventional clay inhibitors on the market, its performance in restraining clay particle dispersion clearly outperforms traditional DMAAC type stabilizers, making it a better choice for protecting tight and sensitive oil reservoirs.

In actual on-site formula matching, FC-CS11L blends smoothly with most surfactants and common oilfield fluid additives. Many engineers choose it to prepare low-turbidity completion fluids, which greatly cuts down the risk of permanent formation damage caused by fine clay particle blockage. Apart from oil & gas drilling projects, this liquid clay stabilizer also sees stable application in water treatment and paper manufacturing industries for its reliable anti-swelling properties.

From physical test results, this product appears as colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid, with density ranging from 1.02 g/cm³ to 1.15 g/cm³. Tested via the centrifugal method, its anti-swelling rate can reach no less than 70%, while the content of water-insoluble substances is controlled within 2.0%, which guarantees no impurity precipitation to block pipelines or reservoir throats during long-term downhole circulation.

We usually supply FC-CS11L in 200-liter galvanized iron drums or 1000-liter plastic IBC totes, and customized packaging specifications are also available to match your local logistics demands. To retain its stable anti-swelling performance within the 24-month shelf life, please keep the sealed barrels stored in cool, well-ventilated warehouses away from direct sunlight and rain exposure. Operators should wear basic chemical protective gloves and goggles during the dosing process to avoid direct skin and eye contact with the liquid product.
