Polymer High-Temperature Retarder
Our Polymer High-Temperature Retarder is an AMPS-based polymer additive designed for oil well cementing construction. It effectively extends the thickening time of cement slurry with stable and predictable rules, and will not negatively affect other performance indicators of cement slurry.
This retarder series can be applied to cement systems prepared with fresh water, salt water and seawater, widely matched with conventional oil well cement and other cementing additives. Among all grades, FC-R42S features fast compressive strength development of set cement, which avoids over-retarding issues on the top of sealing intervals, making it ideal for long cementing interval operations.
Core Product Performance
1. Stable thickening regulation performance
When you tweak the dosage of this retarder, the slowing effect on cement hydration shifts in a predictable, gradual way. This lets field crews lock in a reliable pumping window tailored to the actual bottom-hole temperature and overall construction timeline of each well.
We ran lab trials for FC-R31S at 150℃ under a pressure of 94.4MPa. Throughout these tests, the thickening linearity stayed below 10. The time it took for slurry consistency to climb from 40 Bc up to 100 Bc never exceeded 40 minutes. The free fluid content was kept at 1.4% or lower, while the compressive strength of set cement after 24 hours developed to no less than 14MPa.
2. Fast early strength development prevents over-retarding
FC-R42S optimizes the polymer molecular structure. After static curing, cement stone can gain strength rapidly, which shortens the waiting time for pressure test, especially suitable for offshore liner cementing and long open-hole sealing projects.
3. Wide formula compatibility
All retarder grades have good compatibility with Class G oil well cement, silica powder, fluid loss additives, defoamers and dispersants. It can be used alone or matched with our cementing chemical series to form a complete high-temperature cement slurry formula.
4. Stable physical property
All products are white or yellowish free-flowing solid powder, which disperses evenly during cement mixing without local agglomeration and partial over-retarding problems.

FC-R30S
Universal polymer high-temperature retarder, suitable for fresh water, brine and seawater cement slurry systems, applied in conventional onshore oil, gas and water injection well cementing.
FC-R40S
Medium-deep well dedicated retarder, strong anti-ion interference capacity, keeps stable retarding effect in high-density filling cement slurry under complex water quality conditions.
FC-R42S
Specialized for long sealing interval cementing, fast cement strength growth, effectively solves the problem of slow strength development at the top of cement sections.
FC-R31S
High-temperature resistant retarder with operating temperature ranging from 93℃ to 230℃, stable slurry comprehensive performance under high temperature and high pressure, widely used in ultra-deep well and shale reservoir cementing projects.

Basic Storage & Handling Tips
Store the product in cool, dry and ventilated environments, keep packaging sealed to avoid moisture absorption. Operators shall wear dust-proof protective equipment during feeding to prevent dust inhalation.
