Liquid Silica
Our Liquid Silica FC-AG03L is engineered as a drop-in alternative to MI CROBLOCK for oil well cementing. It suppresses gas & water channeling, shortens cement slurry gel transition time, boosts set cement strength, works steadily up to 230℃ BHCT. Free lab samples and custom formulation support available for global cementing projects.
Field Pain Points That Liquid Silica Solves in Well Cementing
Annular gas channeling and sustained casing pressure are two of the most costly headaches for on-site cementing engineers. Once cement slurry loses hydrostatic pressure during the transition from liquid to gel state, formation gas and brine will squeeze through tiny gaps inside unset cement, which easily triggers long-term wellbore leakage and shortens the service life of casing strings.
Many field operators rely on imported liquid silica anti-channeling products to fix these issues, yet high purchasing costs and long lead times often delay construction schedules. We developed Liquid Silica FC-AG03L as a direct replacement for MI CROBLOCK, with fully matched downhole performance, to deliver a more cost-effective local supply choice for global oil and gas cementing teams.
This grey liquid silica additive is designed to stabilize cement slurry performance during mixing and pumping. Its core advantage lies in narrowing the static gel transition window drastically, which keeps enough hydrostatic column pressure to block gas and water invasion from the formation. Meanwhile, active silica components fill microscopic pores inside cured cement stone, greatly improving compressive strength and sealing integrity of the cement sheath.
Basic Product Profile of FC-AG03L Liquid Silica
FC-AG03L Liquid Silica is a high-active silica-based anti-channeling strengthening agent specially developed for primary well cementing. Formulated to match the performance of MI CROBLOCK, it delivers reliable anti-gas migration and anti-water channeling effects across shallow low-temperature wells to deep high-temperature reservoirs.
When blended into conventional cement slurry systems, the liquid silica reacts with cement hydration products to form dense silicate gel structures. This not only prevents fluid channeling inside the cement sheath, but also enhances the overall structural stability and mechanical strength of set cement, effectively reducing the risk of cement sheath cracking under formation pressure fluctuation or later fracturing operations.
